A Tale Of Two Cities

I just started to read this new classic, called A Tale Of Two Cities by Charles Dickens. The book has very tough vocabulary, but when you start reading more, it all becomes clearer. So far I understand that the two cities which are England and France, are going through a tough time. England is facing religous problems, and a phenomena called the "Cock lane ghost." France is just having problems with its citizens and violence. The book goes on to tell the story of a girl, Lucie Mannette, who visits this old shoemaker. As soon as he saw her, he tells her of her beautiful hair. She then tells him that she once told her father that as soon as she notices her hair, then she will know that it is him. The shoemakers name is Doctor Mannette. So far the book is sort of hard to understand and comprehend, but I can tell its going to be a great mysterious story.

Hey, I actually read this book before. You are right, the orignal version must have pretty difficult vocabulary. The tough time that France is going through was the French Revolution I believe. The on a whole was outstanding, even though the beginning was a bit boring. However once you get past that part, it is a pretty good read. Nice job on your blog, keep it up
